30 November 2015 Last chance to Startup for 2015

Six Degrees Coworking’s startup mentoring programme is holding the final Startup Salon for the year on Wednesday December 2, at the Cellar Lounge, with two local entrepreneurs having a special ‘fireside’ chat to inspire our next generation of businesses.

Nick Herford, became the Founder of Hello Claims after many years spent working in the insurance industry. Nick used his knowledge of unmet customer needs and turned it into a startup ready to disrupt the industry and turn it on its head. Nick has also recently ventured into becoming an investor himself for early stage startups.

Bruno Mattarollo is a regular face at Six Degrees Coworking Hub and is the co-founder and CTO for Waysact, a startup which he bootstrapped and now provides services to big name international charities. With a team of 20 people spread across the globe Bruno has valuable insights into how to manage a remote workforce.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from our local founders, entrepreneurs and programmers as they share their journey so far, the trials, twists and turns, ups and downs and ins and outs of being an entrepreneur in Coffs Harbour,” said Stephen Saunders, Section Leader, Industry and Destination Development.

“We will also be recognising and celebrating the successes our 6 degrees members have enjoyed during 2015. It’s great to see the business growth possible through 6 degrees where we aim to provide a space to inspire, and connect startups with support. We hope that this Salon session will motivate our members to set ambitious goals for 2016.”

Are you a startup founder or team member? Thinking of starting up? Have the skills or resources that startups need like coding, designing, programming, marketing, financial backing? This Salon is a great opportunity to use your skills and connect with local startups and digital entrepreneurs.

The event will take place on Wednesday, December 2, at the Cellar Lounge in the Pier Hotel, Jetty Strip, from 5:30pm – 7:30pm.

Registrations are essential.  To find out more, or to register your interest, contact kristina.cooke@chcc.nsw.gov.au  or call 02 6648 4089.
