The City of Coffs Harbour is home to over 81,000 people and is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic areas in regional NSW. Our Local Government Area spans 1,174 km² – from Bundagen in the south to Red Rock in the north, and west beyond the picturesque hinterland villages of Ulong and Nana Glen – encompassing 78.8 km of stunning coastline, vibrant communities, and rich natural landscapes.
We acknowledge the Gumbaynggirr people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work and play. The Gumbaynggirr Nation is one of the largest coastal Aboriginal Nations in NSW, with a deep cultural heritage that continues to be expressed through language, connection to Country, and community.
As one of the region’s largest employers, the City supports a dedicated workforce of over 622 full-time equivalent staff – including administrative and operational professionals – who deliver essential services and infrastructure to our growing community. With a $251 million operating budget and $67.2 million in capital works this financial year, we are investing in the future of our city through thoughtful, community-driven planning and delivery.

Our work is guided by the MyCoffs Community Strategic Plan and delivered through our Delivery Program and Operational Plan. The City translates the community’s priorities into real outcomes – from enhancing public safety and upgrading infrastructure to supporting local businesses and hosting major cultural, sporting and civic events.
We are committed to sustainability and resilience, with significant investments in transport, waste, water, sewer, and environmental initiatives. Our updated Waste Strategy reflect our community’s shared goal of a cleaner, more sustainable future.
We also continue to invest in community wellbeing through the development of inclusive public spaces, new playgrounds, and upgraded sports facilities – ensuring our city remains a place where people of all ages can connect, stay active, and thrive.
At the heart of everything we do is a dedication to innovation, collaboration, accountability, respect, and empowerment.
We’re proud to serve a region that is not only growing, but growing with purpose – building a connected, sustainable and thriving Coffs Harbour for all.
