Keeping animals in residential areas

Keeping animals such as poultry and livestock in residential areas is discouraged. While it may seem rewarding, these animals often create noise, odour, and hygiene issues, and many properties find it difficult to meet standards under the Local Government Act 1993, Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 and other requirements from regulatory authorities beyond the City’s control.
