4 May 2015 Draft Coffs Harbour Development Control Plan

A new Coffs Harbour Development Control Plan (DCP) 2015 that covers the entire local government area will go out for public consultation for 30 days on May 6 until June 5.

Coffs Harbour has a strategic document that governs all land use and development in the Coffs Harbour area – the Coffs Harbour City Local Environmental Plan 2013.

Beneath that is a Development Control Plan (DCP) that provides the detailed planning and design guidelines in a user-friendly format.

The draft Coffs Harbour Development Control Plan (DCP) 2015 replaces the 2013 version.

The new document has a number of revisions, with the most significant changes relating to the structure and layout of the Plan, updates to specific development controls such as density and setbacks and updates to development controls that apply to urban release areas.

The revised format of the DCP has been designed to facilitate online planning enquiries, as well as the ability to easily interact between chapters within the Plan and with other relevant legislation, policies and guidelines.

From Wednesday, May 6, the Draft Coffs Harbour DCP 2015 and associated documents can be viewed via Council’s website – www.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au/onexhibition - or via www.coffsplanning.com.au

Free computer access is available to view the DCP at Council’s Central Administration Building located on the corner of Coff and Castle Streets, Coffs Harbour.  CDs with an electronic copy of the DCP can also be provided upon request.
