Scope

Construction to improved public amenities at Mullawarra Reserve will begin in February 2024.

The plans propose to improve the public amenities, accessibility and safety in the reserve.

The works include installing new stairs for beach access, a beach shower, designated car parking, pathway, toilet amenities, and BBQ and picnic facilities. 

The car park will be upgraded to designated parking to improve safety, accessibility and to maximise spaces for users. The reclamation of a 5-metre strip on the east side of the car park to accommodate beach retreatment. The area will be rehabilitated with grass with a new seat and picnic table for day users.

  5. Relocating existing bollards around the car park
  6. Reclaimed grass area
  7. Concrete footpath
  8. Accessible toilet block
  9. BBQ and Picnic under shelter
  10. Timber seat
  11. Decommissioning of septic system
  12. Connection to the City’s sewer network
  13. Planting of shade trees

Funding
Funding for $400,000 was provided by the Coffs Coast Regional Park Trust Board and City of Coffs Harbour.

Coffs Coast Regional Park
Mullawarra Beach Reserve forms part of the Coffs Coast Regional Park, which covers 27 kilometres of coastline. It is governed by a NSW Government-appointed Coffs Coast Regional Park Trust Board of community representatives, including Aboriginal Elders and representatives of Coffs Harbour City Council and the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
