City delivers on expectations in the first quarter

Current Quarterly Report

The City of Coffs Harbour’s first quarterly report for the financial year has landed, and it shows the City is on track with key projects and its service delivery.  

“Our 2023-24 Operational Plan outlined what we want to achieve for the financial year, and this first report shows we’re off to a great start,” said City’s Mayor, Cr Paul Amos.

When it came to the delivery of services, the City:

  • resolved 80% of customer enquiries at first point of contact
  • looked out for 89,379 people at its patrolled beaches
  • welcomed 31,290 people through the gates at C.ex Coffs International Stadium
  • issued 70 swimming pool compliance certificates
  • met all water service key performance indicators
  • carried out 100% of its scheduled food inspections
  • delivered 15 marketing initiatives to help drive visitors to our region

“I encourage the community to read the report to understand how the City has performed in the first quarter of 2023-24. It shows we’re staying focused on what’s important,” said Cr Amos.

In addition, roads and bus stops were upgraded and the Toormina velodrome was renewed.

Other key highlights for the quarter include tourism businesses on the Coffs Coast taking out 3 gold and 4 silver awards at the 2023 North Coast Tourism Awards, the opening of Yarrila Place, and the hosting of Japanese Sister City Sasebo to mark the 35th anniversary of the relationship.
