Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery

The Gallery has reopened!

Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery welcomed visitors back on Saturday 12 June after a temporary closure to assess and repair damage caused by a burst water pipe in the Rigby House building in March.

The gallery team appreciates the support from the community and exhibiting artists over the last couple of months as we rescheduled our 2021 Program.

We look forward to presenting the following exhibitions to celebrate our 20th Anniversary at Rigby House:

12 June - 7 August - 2021 Saltwater Freshwater Aboriginal Art Award and Contemporary Cultural Objects Exhibition

It is the third time Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery have partnered with Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance to present the biennial exhibition.

Opening 14 August - STILL: National Still Life Award 2021

Our third STILL and our biggest and best yet! The $30,000 major prize will be announced on August 14 by guest judge, Elizabeth Ann Macgregor OBE, followed by the exhibition of finalists until 23 October. Find out more about STILL: National Still Life Award 2021.

Opening 30 October - The White Bluff Project

The White Bluff Project has been rescheduled to be our home-grown summer blockbuster exhibition, for an extended period from 30 October 2021 to 15 January 2022. We look forward to bringing the culmination of this project alive in the Gallery for the community and collaborators to experience and celebrate together.

More about the project can be found at the White Bluff Project websiteFacebook and Instagram

COVID-19 Considerations

Covid-19 social distancing restrictions are still in place to ensure the safety of our staff and customers until further notice. This means the gallery is limited to 96 people at a time.

Call for Expressions of Interest from Coffs Coast Artists

Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery is calling for expressions of interest from Coffs Coast artists to exhibit in our opening year of exhibitions in 2023. Expressions of interest are sought from both individual artists and groups of artists living and working in the Coffs Harbour, Bellingen and Nambucca LGAs.

The Gallery is looking to develop a holistic program of artists of all ages including children, with a diversity of approaches. This will be a selective process undertaken by the Gallery staff.

The exhibition space on offer is 63m2, and can be filled by individual artists, multiple individual artists, or groups of artists.

Submissions close Monday 1 November 2021.
