1 June 2015 Exploring Agribusiness Expansion

Primary producers and those interested in agricultural production across the Coffs Coast are being invited to attend the ‘Opportunities for Growth Seminar’ to be held in Coramba Hall on Wednesday June 10 2015.

This FREE seminar focuses on explaining the roles and services provided by Local Land Services, the NSW Department of Primary Industries, NSW Trade and Investment and local government in the Agrifood Industry. The session will also look at agricultural capacity and opportunities in addressing the future food needs of consumers.

Case Studies of industry sectors with opportunities for expansion will be presented by The Organic Marketing Company and NORCO. The National Australian Sustainable Agriculture Association will discuss opportunities for sustainable agriculture and the potential and support available to access international markets.

“In partnership with NSW Trade and Investment, Coffs Harbour City Council is pleased to be able to deliver this workshop as part of the Growing Innovation Series,” said Group Leader City Prosperity Nikki Greenwood. “Throughout the series, Council aims to bring producers together around topics of interest to create an environment of learning and collaboration. We hope that building new skills and confidence in the agrifood sector will encourage producers to tap into new markets and diversify their products.”

The afternoon session will consist of a Q&A panel session in which producers will have the opportunity to direct the discussion.
