North Boambee Road bridge footpath

City of Coffs Harbour is partnering with the NSW Government in a $7.8 million critical infrastructure project that will unlock the potential for 866 new homes in North Boambee Valley, supporting the long-term growth of housing availability in our City.

Project scope

We will design and manage construction to raise the bridge and road levels on North Boambee Road.

This will greatly improve the transport infrastructure and provide emergency access above one-in-100-year flood levels.

Design and planning is underway. The target is to complete the bridge and road raising works by mid-2026.

This project will deliver significant, long-term social, environmental, economic and public safety benefits for local residents, the Bishop Druitt College and the wider community. Benefits include:

  • Improved public safety
  • Flood-free access on North Boambee Road
  • Support ongoing housing supply through the provision of essential infrastructure
  • Improved transport infrastructure
