Studies and Plans

There are currently no official studies or plans for this area. A flood study is currently underway and due for completion in 2023.

Current Works and Projects

City of Coffs Harbour has engaged specialist flood consultants WMAwater to undertake a detailed Flood Study for Coffs Harbour LGA’s northern coastal catchments.

This includes:

  • Corindi River
  • Arrawarra Creek
  • Darkum Creek
  • Willis Creek
  • Double Crossing Creek
  • Hearnes Lake  
  • Fiddamans Creek

The Flood Study is the first stage of the floodplain management process. Its goal is to provide detailed mapping so that we will have an even better understanding of potential flood risks to assist with future development, planning, community education and mitigation works.
