The Clarence Valley Council established the Water Efficiency Working Group and invited the City of Coffs Harbour to join.
The purpose of the Water Efficiency Working Group is to provide advice and guidance about the Regional Water Efficiency Strategic Plan and to undertake an annual review of the Regional Water Efficiency Implementation Plan. The Water Efficiency Working Group is a committee that performs a statutory consultative role as part of the Shannon Creek Dam licence conditions, the Regional Water Supply Scheme and the Clarence Valley Council/Coffs Harbour Water Efficiency Strategic Plan and implementation Plan.
The committee helps ensure a united approach to water demand management between the two Local Government Areas and communities. These meetings include reciprocal hosting between Local Government Areas and site visits to water assets.
