Celebrate community, connection and lifelong learning during the 2026 NSW Seniors Festival. Join us for a special program of free and low-cost events designed to inform, inspire and connect. 

Running from 2 to 15 March 2026, this year's NSW Seniors Festival embraces the theme "Live Life in Colour." Enjoy an exciting and diverse lineup of events in Coffs Harbour, including craft, games, health and essential technology sessions at Coffs Harbour Libraries, a scenic bus trip to Karangi Dam with morning tea, a special gallery tour with Yarrila Arts and Museum’s Senior Curator, and a free concert by Coffs Harbour City Orchestra at the North Coast Regional Botanic Gardens. Don’t miss your free beverage at The Jetty Memorial Theatre.

Art For Arthritis hosted by Coffs Harbour Older Women’s Network 

A gentle, supportive art workshop for people with arthritis or joint pain, using accessible drawing and painting techniques that focus on creativity, enjoyment and social connection.

Yarrila Seniors Fest: Live Life in Colour 

A social, information-filled morning with presentations, local stalls and morning tea, covering seniors’ rights, travel apps, digital tips, volunteering and library programs to help you stay informed and connected.

Guided gallery tour with YAM’s Senior Curator 

A sensory-focused gallery tour led by YAM’s Senior Curator, exploring selected artworks and uncovering the stories, materials and inspirations behind works on display.

Workshop: Colour at Play with Jan Allsopp  

A joyful, hands-on painting and collage workshop inspired by bold colour and contemporary art, encouraging playful experimentation, intuitive choices and creativity in a relaxed, social setting. All materials are provided.

Tuesday 10 March 

Karangi Dam Tour 

A scenic bus trip to Karangi Dam with morning tea, a guided tour and talk about Coffs Harbour’s water supply, plus time to socialise and enjoy nature. 

9.00am - 11.00am 

Free transport by bus to take attendees to and from Yarrila Place to Karangi Dam and return.  

9.00am - Bus departs Yarrila Place, 27 Gordon St, Coffs Harbour)  

9.30am - Morning Tea at Karangi Dam 

10.00am - Tour and talk of the dam 

10.30am - Bus departs Karangi Dam 

11am - Bus returns to Yarrila Place 

We encourage attendees to bring folding/camping chairs if possible as seating at Karangi Dam is limited. Please bring your own drinks (water or thermos).
