Flood Risk Management Plans and Studies



Council has developed Floodplain Risk Management Studies to investigate and recommend measures to either manage or reduce flooding problems within the catchment.

Coffs Creek and Park Beach

Council now has detailed flood information for the Coffs Creek catchment.  A flood study review was undertaken and adopted by council in 2018.

A Floodplain Risk Management Study for Boambee Newports Creek was undertaken and adopted by Council on 9 June 2016.

The Upper Orara River Flood Study has been prepared for Coffs Harbour City Council in 2012 to define the existing flood behaviour in the floodplain of the Upper Orara River and Bucca Bucca Creek.
