The Coffs Coast’s wealth of budding digital entrepreneurs are one click away from being unleashed on the national and global marketplace.

Council has teamed up with Telstra and a host of other local sponsors to help them do just that on Saturday June 18 at the C.ex Coffs Club - and you are invited to be a part of the action.

The Telstra Business Centre Coffs Harbour Digital Innovation Challenge is the only event tailored to start-up and entrepreneurs on the Mid North Coast. It is aimed at assisting our local start-ups to learn how to pitch, find co-founders, launch their product to the press, share their stories, reach the visionaries and influencers and so much more.

The Challenge’s Final on June 18 is going to be jam-packed with inspirational speakers, a start-up alley showcasing new businesses plus the big finale of the Live Pitch worth $150,000 to the winners.

“We have some amazing speakers lined up including who are disrupting their respective industries,” said Stephen Saunders, Council’s Section Leader Industry and Development. “Simone Eyles from 365cups who is fast tracking our caffeine addictions, Nick Herford founder of Hello Claims shaking up the car insurance scene, Ben Burton who has created a ‘tinder for pets’ and Jason Errey of OEMG deconstructing the construction industry.”

365cups is an award-winning mobile ordering platform which changes the way you order breakfast, lunch, coffee and tea. Based in Wagga Wagga, Simone proves that the might of online means that you can be an entrepreneur from anywhere.

Brendan Yell from IBM company Softlayer will be returning to Coffs to share his passion for unleashing regional start-ups and also to award the winner of the pitch with their $120,000 worth of Softlayer credits.

Who should attend? All aspiring entrepreneurs, seasoned entrepreneurs, professional service providers keen to hear about the next big thing, accountants, investors, supporters of innovation, tech heads and non-tech heads.

Tickets are only $20 for the full day and are available from C.ex Coffs online or via reception 6652 3888. For more information, go to www.digitalinnovationchallenge.com.au
