24 October 2016 MyCoffs Big Picture Event

What kind of place do you want Coffs Harbour to be in the future? Do you have great ideas for our future? Then bring yourself and your vision to the MyCoffs Big Picture Event at the Coffs Harbour Showground Exhibition Hall on Sunday, November 13.

Helping shape the future of Coffs Harbour is the aim of MyCoffs - a campaign to capture the goals and aspirations of the whole community to create a vision for the area.

The MyCoffs community conversation wants to reach and inspire anyone and everyone to think about what we love about the place that we call home – and to offer the opportunity to make their mark on that future.

Ultimately, the vision created by the MyCoffs conversation will inform a Plan called the Community Strategic Plan (CSP).

The current Plan - Coffs Harbour 2030 - is now eight years old and it’s time for us as a community to look again at what we think is important.

MyCoffs  is community-owned and driven. Coffs Harbour City Council’s role in the development of the Community Strategic Plan is to facilitate the discussion by providing the means for people to meet, discuss and share their thoughts.

Since its launch in September, the MyCoffs campaign has been actively engaging the community online, creatively and face-to-face right across the local government area through social media, art competitions and regular market stalls.

The MyCoffs Big Picture Event is a centrepiece of the whole campaign. By bringing together a large number of people to look at the themes that are already developing - and to give them a chance to offer their thoughts - it’s hoped that the Big Picture Event will be a pivotal moment in the city’s future.

If you are interested in being a part of our future, then register online at www.mycoffs.org and come along.

Entry is free and light refreshments will be served at the event.
