Meet some nutritional heroes at the Harry Bailey Memorial Library with ‘wellness warrior’ Lee Holmes on Friday, February 13, at 11.30am.

Author of ‘Eat Clean, Green and Vegetarian’, Lee is a passionate advocate for the benefits of a vegetarian diet.

"Eating real, whole, unprocessed and nutrient-rich food is the best health insurance policy we have,” she says.

Her latest book is aimed at getting more people to put vegetables front and centre at mealtimes.

It is packed with nutritious and delicious recipes that are all versatile enough to suit every dietary need, whether it be vegan, wheat-free, gluten-free, dairy-free or sugar-free.

‘Eat Clean, Green and Vegetarian’ lays it all out on the kitchen table to satisfy both your stomach and your soul.

Lee Holmes was forced to give up a successful career in television after being diagnosed with a debilitating autoimmune disease. By adopting a wholefoods diet she recovered and set out on a journey to spread the message of how to use your food to improve your health.

She is now a renowned wholefoods chef, award-winning blogger and author of the bestselling titles ‘Supercharged Food’ and ‘Supercharged Food: Eat Yourself Beautiful’.

At the inaugural BUPA Health Influencer Blog Awards in 2013, Lee’s blog won ‘Health Influencer of the Year’ and the ‘Healthy Eating’ categories.
