24 September 2015 Donations Benefit Community Groups

Donations and rates subsidies from Council worth a total of $138,627 have been allocated to a wide variety of local community groups and events for 2015-2016.

“Council tries to provide the best services for the community that we can, but we also do a great deal to support local groups who are also doing a huge amount for residents too,” said Coffs Harbour Mayor, Councillor Denise Knight.

“That includes donations, waiving certain charges and also offering rate subsidies. I’m very pleased to say that this year we’re giving away nearly $139,000!”
