Proposed lease drainage reserve bw Eleventh and Circular Ave Sawtell

Notice is hereby given that Council proposes to lease to the adjoining property owners the Council owned Drainage Reserve known as Lot 50 Section 2 DP 21528 located between Eleventh and Circular Avenues, Sawtell.

The proposed lease will give the leaseholders the right to fence the Drainage Reserve, thus preventing public thoroughfare. 
The purpose of this arrangement is to remove the current anti-social behaviour which has been occurring within the Drainage Reserve. 
In addition the land is not a designated or formed pathway and more suitable pedestrian access options are available nearby. 
Council will retain access to the land in order to maintain the Water and Sewer infrastructure as required.
Any person is entitled to make a submission to Council in regard to the proposed lease.
Submissions must be:
  • made in writing
  • addressed to The General Manager
  • identified as a “Submission on Proposed Lease of Drainage Reserve between Eleventh and Circular Avenues Sawtell – IR:7299718”
  • delivered, posted or emailed to Council see contact details on this page
  • lodged with Council on or before 28 August 2021
