Your Local Bushfire Recovery Support Team will be at the Nana Glen Community Hall from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm on Saturday 18 July.

In attendance will be: Red Cross; Peter Ainsworth from Life House Care; Joshua Foster and Roz Rodgers from the Rural Resilience Program; Sam Osbourne form Health NSW and Melinda Brooks from Coffs Harbour City Council.

As we still need to adhere strictly to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be limiting the number of people in the hall at any one time and practising social distancing.

Council resolved at its meeting on 11 June 2020 to place the draft Clarence Valley and Coffs Harbour Regional Water Efficiency Strategic Plan and draft Clarence Valley and Coffs Harbour Regional Water Efficiency Implementation Plan on public exhibition.

The draft Plans update existing Plans and will guide the ongoing implementation of water efficiency strategies in both Local Government Areas serviced by the Regional Water Supply Scheme for the next 5 years.

The draft Plans and further information to make submissions can be viewed at Council’s Customer Service Centre or on our Have Your Say platform from 24 June 2020 to 22 July 2020.

Coffs Harbour City Council is currently reviewing and updating its Local Growth Management Strategy. The revised Strategy will outline how Council intends on planning for population and employment growth over the next twenty years, whilst protecting valuable environmental and agricultural land, as well as neighbourhood character.

As part of this review, Council has prepared draft Coffs Harbour Local Growth Management Strategy - Chapter 7 Residential Lands to guide residential growth across the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area (LGA) in a way that meets the changing needs of our community.  Two associated issues and options papers have also been prepared to inform the final Chapter: Short Term Rental Accommodation Issues and Options Paper 2020 and Affordable Housing in Coffs Harbour LGA Issues and Options Paper 2020.

Council is now seeking public feedback on the draft Chapter and the two issues and options papers. The public exhibition period is from 17 June 2020 to 31 July 2020. You can make your voice heard by going to Council's Have Your Say Page where you can make an online submission, or alternatively written submissions can be sent to the General Manager, Coffs Harbour City Council, Locked Bag 155, NSW 2450.
