You can make informal access requests to Council in the following ways:

  • In person; or
  • Over the phone; or

If you haven’t been able to get information through an Informal Access Request, you can pursue the matter by lodging a Formal Access Application.

You must lodge your request in writing starting that it is a Formal Access Application under the GIPA Act, be accompanied by a $30 application fee and specify the information you seek to enable that it can be identified by Council. Alternatively, you may complete the Formal Access Application online. Processing charges may also apply, refer to the guideline for more information. If you are dissatisfied with Council's decision, a right of review and appeal is available.
