Road safety resources

  • Staying Safe on the road 65Plus is available in other languages. It includes information on mobility scooters, NSW older licensing, as well as the Top Ten Misunderstood road rules.
  • What to know before you tow a caravan on the road
  • Plan ahead and stop regularly. There are a number of designated rest areas in NSW. Note that these rest areas are not designated caravan sites and you cannot stay overnight in these areas
  • NeuRA and Transurban have developed a brochure on seniors and seatbelts as around 250 Australians aged over 65 die every year in car crashes, and more than 4,000 are hospitalised after a crash
  • Fading night vision can be a serious traffic hazard as a number of changes can occur in the eye that can affect night driving vision as we age.
  • Child car seats is a useful resource if you find yourself driving with youngsters in the car.
