City of Coffs Harbour logo and tagline design competition

To better capture our status as a dynamic regional centre, we have changed our name from 'Coffs Harbour City Council' to 'City of Coffs Harbour'. This name focusses attention on the community we serve, the City of Coffs Harbour, rather than the organisation that delivers the service.

We need a contemporary, attractive and clear visual identity that represents our vibrant city and villages from the coast through to our beautiful hinterland, and helps us to make our mark as a destination to live, work and play. We also want to develop a tagline which is an aspirational statement or phrase that describes how we want to be both as an organisation and as a community.

Entries have now closed

All entries will be judged and short-listed by the City’s Mayor and General Manager. A short-list for each category will then be presented to Council in November for the determination of category winners and the overall logo design winner.

Each category winner will receive a Coffs Coast destination experience to the value of $250.

The overall winner of best logo design will receive a monetary gift voucher to buy local in the City of Coffs Harbour LGA to the value of $500.

Depending on the winner, we may need to work with a design company to take the logo to execution to ensure it is suitable for the various applications. This would be done in consultation with the winner to ensure integrity in the design process.

About the competition

Entry was open to those who live, study or a part of a business in the City of Coffs Harbour local government area (LGA). There were three categories for logo design:

  • Primary and high school students
  • Non-professional, aspiring creatives
  • Branding and design professionals

There was also a separate category for a tagline.
