Cemetery Services

We provide plot reservations and bronze plaques for use in our cemeteries.

We can also assist family members and historians to locate burials where a full name is known.

Cemetery services

We manage 7 cemeteries situated in some of the Coffs Coast’s most beautiful locations, providing peaceful and respectful surrounds.

When delivering services to our community we ensure:

Funeral arrangements

All funerals must be arranged through a Funeral Director who will then contact us to make all the necessary arrangements.

Types of burials

We offer burials in 2 lawn cemeteries and monumental cemeteries.

Full Monumental Grave: the whole grave can be covered with a monument made from various materials such as marble, granite, sandstone, concrete etc.  The type, style and size are subject to the rules and regulations of Coffs Harbour City Council.

Lawn Graves: Lawn burial with a plaque that’s placed at the head of the grave placed on a concrete plinth.

Memorial headstones

Coffs Harbour Historical, Woolgoolga Monumental, Coramba Cemetery, Bucca Cemetery and Corindi Cemetery all have monumental headstones.

Headstones for graves in monumental areas or historical cemeteries can be arranged through an authorised monumental stonemason. The monumental stonemason you select will advise you on the timeframe and apply through Council for the permit to construct the headstone.

Bronze plaques

Coffs Harbour Lawn Cemetery and Woolgoolga Lawn Cemetery have lawn sections. Bronze memorial plaques are mounted on a concrete base and installed directly onto the lawn at the head of the grave. A single bronze lawn plaque is included with a first interment. Reopening a grave for a second interment will include a detachable plaque.

Plaques can be ordered through us and we can help you choose from the designs available including an extensive library of motifs, emblems, borders and badges. Optional extras are available such as ceramic photo tiles, extra motifs, lines etc.

Delivery time for bronze plaques is approximately 4 to 6 weeks for completion and placement on the grave.

Access to records and family history

Burial and cremation authorities are required to keep records of all services conducted.  Burial and cremation registers are public records.

We may be able to provide details of deceased relatives or friends who are buried in our cemeteries.  We will need both a given name and family name to do a historical search.

If you require historic information on several family members or friends, please email or write requesting information including all the details.

Please note a prescribed fee may be charged for the retrieval of this information. See fees and charges

You can also search for grave locations yourself using our online mapping tool.  Find the 'Cemetery Name Search' tab beneath the main mapping screen and enter the name you are looking for.
