JADA: Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award

Adam Cusack In plain sight 2016, 2016 JADA Winner, Charcoal on paper

27 January - 3 March 2018

Experience the richness and diversity of contemporary drawing in the 2016 Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA), the flagship prize of the Grafton Regional Gallery. The exhibition features 47 finalists from across Australia, who take a range of approaches to this primary means of expression. While drawing has long been “disrupted” by a succession of new technologies, from printing and photography through to new digital media, this exhibition demonstrates that drawing retains its power to astound us.
