Community Organisation Assistance Grants

Council would like to acknowledge the importance of community and not-for-profit organisations and their volunteers for the valuable contribution towards achievement of the MyCoffs Community Strategic Plan vision of a connected, sustainable and thriving community.

A temporary grants program set up to help fund activities to enhance community wellbeing in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic has now closed.

The intent of the Community Organisation Assistance Grant Program (Connectivity, Cohesion and Capacity Building) funding was to:

  • Support and enable organisations to promote connection and social cohesion in the community
  • Strengthen the capacity and resilience of community organisation to deliver services

COVID-19 Community Organisations Capacity Building Program 2020/21

The impact of COVID-19 has meant that many community, sporting and not-for-profit organisations have had to review the way in which they operate and how to maintain connection during this period.

Council is seeking to strengthen the capacity and resilience of these organisations to prepare, respond and recover; with practical assistance to build the skills of staff and volunteers and to improve organisational governance structures.

Business Consultants

Council will offer community, sporting and not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to attend either:

  • Two mentoring sessions (one to one) or one group session with a business consultant focusing on community based organisations; or
  • Access to an online mentoring program (Evolve My Community) for up to 7 months.

Please complete the Application Form to express your organisations interest in this program.
