Local Environmental Plan 2000
LEP 2000 is a plan which identifies areas of land (zones) for different types of future development. It sets the rules regarding how land in these zones may or may not be used. Refer to LEP 2000 to view the zone(s) that apply to land, and rules that apply to future development.

Occasionally Council considers amendments to the LEP. Before these changes can be adopted within the overall plan they have to go on public exhibition as a draft amendment.
Please contact Council on 02 6648 4000 to obtain a copy of current draft amendments.
LEP Maps
Before viewing the maps that accompany LEP 2000, you may want to read the
Guidelines for Using the LEP Maps (95KB). These provide some useful tips on accessing and using the maps.

North Coffs LEP amendment
Council has engaged consultants GeoLink to undertake environmental planning studies applying to land at North Coffs Harbour, in accordance with the Our Living City Settlement Strategy.
GeoLink will conduct a series of public workshops as the project progresses.
