Theatre Subscriptions
To become a subscriber you need to purchase a minimum of four shows - design your own subscription package from the six professional touring shows & six community shows in 2009 to suit your taste and budget. If you're a subscriber and you would like to bring a friend to any of the shows, book their tickets at the same time as buying your subscription so you can be seated together. Subscribers get: - 15% discount off the standard ticket prices
- Priority access to the best seats in the house
- free exchange of tickets to another performance, up to 72hrs in advance, subject to availability.
Patron Jack Thompson
The Jetty Theatre is proud to have internationally acclaimed actor, and local resident, Jack Thompson as its patron. Jack accepted the invitation to become the Theatre's patron at the launch of the inaugural season subscription series in March 2007. (See "Acting Legend Becomes Theatre Patron" media release.) The Jetty Memorial Theatre was reopened on 15 October 2003 after a $1.6 million refurbishment program. (Read more about the theatre's history.) The improvements included high quality professional audio and staging lighting systems, a fully-ducted and sound insulated air conditioning system and better seating. The auditorium and stage areas were given a face-lift, the foyer was rebuilt and a new entrance constructed at the corner of Harbour Drive and Edinburgh Street. (More about its facilities and equipment here.) In June 2004, the project won a Highly Commended Award at the inaugural Local Government Cultural Awards set up by the Local Government and Shires Associations of NSW.
