Water Restrictions Permanently Imposed
Level One water restrictions have been implemented permanently in the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area since 19 June 2004.
The main impact of level one water restrictions is as follows:
- Sprinklers and unattended hoses are banned between 8.00am and 4.00pm.
- Building maintenance allowed with trigger nozzle hoses or pressure cleaners.
- Hoses can only be used to wash driveways, paved areas and roofs for health or safety reasons. Pressure cleaners are allowed.
- Car washing is allowed providing, where practical, the runoff is onto a lawn and not down the drain.
Business or industry adversely affected by level one water restrictions are urged to contact council on (02) 6648 4470.
