Community Vision 2030 document
The 'Community Vision 2030' is the guiding document upon which all future planning decisions on economic growth, transport, housing, lifestyle and the environment will be based.
The Draft 'Community Vision 2030' was drawn up following a wide-ranging series of public consultation activities including surveys, a telephone poll, creative arts competitions and workshops. The resulting Draft Vision was put on display and seven submissions were received.
In all, five key outcomes were distilled from the consultation process and form the basis of the Vision. These were that by 2030:
- We are a prosperous and learning community.
- Our built environment connects us and supports us in living sustainably.
- We are moving around easily, safely and sustainably.
- Our communities are healthy, informed and engaged.
- Our natural environment is protected and conserved for future generations.
