General Aviation

An Aviation Education Facility has been established in Coffs Harbour and is enjoying steady growth. 

Students from Korea, New Guinea and Australia are being trained to commercial level now.

Council is working with local operators to expand this facility and the goal is to have around 60 students training at the airport at any one time.

Council recently reviewed the Airport Masterplan & Land-Use Plan, and is currently (2007) working towards a Development Plan for vacant land in the General Aviation area.
