Running Council - Overview
Nine Councillors, including the Mayor, govern Coffs Harbour City Council. They abide by a series of Council Policies.

The General Manager liaises directly with the Councillors and manages the day-to-day operations of Council. Three directors and several executive managers and managers assist the General Manager in running Council. Council's three business units are Corporate Business, City Services and Land Use, Health & Development. Council employs about 550 staff.
