Eutick Memorial Still Life Award (EMSLA)
The Eutick Memorial Still Life Award (EMSLA), the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery's own prize for Still Life artists, promotes excellence and innovation in Australian still life. It enjoyed a phenomenal inaugural response in 2007 and received over 300 entries in 2008.
The EMSLA is generously funded by Gallery benefactor Dr Mal Eutick. In 2009 the major award has been increased to $15,000. The award is acquisitive and the winning works enter the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery collection.
The 2009 exhibition runs until 2 January 2010.

The Eutick Memorial Still Life Awards were announced on 31 October:

The competition was judged by Gallery Directors Jude McBean (Grafton Regional Gallery) Steve Bush (John Gordon Gallery) and John McDonald, art critic for the Sydney Morning Herald.
The EMSLA Arts Festival
The inaugural EMSLA Arts Festival began on 1 November 2008. It included 5 evenings of baroque, classical and contemporary chamber music by highly regarded performers surrounded by award winning paintings at Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery. For those of you lucky enough to snap up the limited seats you will agree that we had 5 wonderful nights of outstanding music.
EMSLA 2007
The 2007 EMSLA Award Ceremony and Opening Night took place on Friday, 26 October 2007 and 78 of the best entries were on exhibition at the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery until 9 December. A 'Salon des Refusés' with another 40 works was hung at the Coffs Harbour Regional Museum.
2007 Winners:
- The main $10,000 Eutick Memorial Still Life Award 2007 went to Sam Leach for his painting 'Monitored Skulls'. This award is acquisitive, so the work has entered the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery Collections.
- The $5,000 FOCUS Regional Artist's Award was won by Sara Wade for her entry 'The pitcher'.
- The winner of the $2,000 People's Choice Award,as voted by visitors to the Gallery during the exhibition, was announced on Sunday 9 December: Roger Byrt for his work 'Origami Blue'.
