Completed Works - Stage 1
Stage one included the following projects, which have been completed.
- The urban areas of Moonee Beach and Emerald Beach have been connected to the sewer.
- The sewerage reticulation systems in Sawtell and Coffs Harbour have been upgraded.
- Construction of the new reclaimed water reticulation system has been completed with the construction of a 5 million-litre reservoir at Morgans Road Farm near Woolgoolga and pipelines linking Coffs Harbour, Moonee and Woolgoolga Water Reclamation Plants.
- These systems facilitate the transport of the reclaimed water to agricultural and recreational reclaimed water users throughout the Coffs Harbour local government area as well as connection to the Deep Sea Release pipeline.
- Construction of the Deep Sea Release, which discharges excess reclaimed water, was completed in December 2004.
- Work on the construction of sewer and rising mains for the Arrawarra/Mullaway area was completed in March 2007.
