The College is a community college in the sense that its doors are open to all, whatever their personal belief system, as long as they are sympathetic to the College's Christian foundation. The school strives to produce outstanding citizens. Bishop Druitt students learn respect and discipline, have pride in a job well done and always strive to do their best. The school's curriculum emphasises rigorous teaching of the basics, concentrating on English, Maths, Science and the Humanities.

Students in middle school (years 6,7 &8) are engaged in a special process of transition to senior studies. The middle school endeavours to use best practice for meeting the educational and emotional needs of emerging adolescents in a school setting.  Students in the senior school are fully engaged in the rigours of secondary education. Many past students have gone on to outstanding achievements in further learning and careers. In addition to offering a wide range of academic courses leading to the High School Certificate, the school also provides opportunities for personal spiritual, cultural and sporting development.
