Coffs Harbour High School is a comprehensive secondary school. It was the original high school in the district when it opened at its present site in 1938. The school draws students from a diverse area, including the coastal fringe, and scattered communities inland. The school offers a relevant and diverse curriculum, including a number of vocational education courses. It participates in a multi-site curriculum delivery in the senior years, and offers a multitude of academic, cultural and sporting opportunities for students.

Toormina High School is situated on the mid-north coast of NSW, eight kilometres south of Coffs Harbour. It is a comprehensive co-educational school in its twentieth year. Woolgoolga High School is a dynamic school which believes in offering a broad curriculum enabling students to discover and maximise their potential and encouraging them to accept responsibility for their learning. In recent years HSC results have been outstanding. The school has also had many fine achievements in sport, performing arts and cultural activities.
