13 April 2006 - Jetty Theatre Introduces New Ticketing System

In a continued effort to provide improved services to Coffs Coast theatre patrons, the Jetty Memorial Theatre will be introducing a new ticketing service in May this year.

This new customer service will allow patrons to reserve good seats and book their tickets at the theatre's box office, via telephone, or online.

"Council is committed to continually improve our services, and we are happy to announce the introduction of our new professional ticketing system," said Theatre Manager Sharna St Leon. "The new service will offer our patrons and theatre hirers a much more convenient and streamlined way to buy and sell tickets.

"The greater flexibility will enable patrons from outside Coffs Harbour to book from the comfort of their own home anywhere in Australia. With this new, innovative booking technology, patrons will be able to choose from three different booking methods and various ways to pay, and are able to book tickets whenever they want using the Internet," said Ms St Leon.

Production companies will also benefit from the new service. "Theatre companies no longer need to produce their own tickets and make arrangements with various companies to sell the tickets for them.

"Having a central point for all bookings will allow us to provide a standardised service for all performances."

For patrons who still choose to purchase their tickets over the counter, the box office will be open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday, plus one hour before all performances, and payment by cash, credit card or EFTPOS will be accepted. Payment for phone and Internet bookings can be made by credit card. A standard booking fee will apply.

Online ticketing will be available 24 hours per day via Council's website (www.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au). Phone bookings will be possible during opening hours of the box office on 6652 4697.

The first show to go on sale using the new ticketing system will be Don Burrows in Concert on 19 May 2006, with tickets available from 1 May.
