Laying the Pipeline
The temporary trestle necessary for laying the ocean section of the pipeline was dismantled and the construction compound was being cleared of work equipment to get ready for the start of the vegetation rehabilitation project.

The pipe-laying started at the seaward end of the temporary trestle and the cofferdam was progressively moved in towards the beach. The 20 metre de-aeartion chamber was installed, connecting the landward and seaward sections of the pipe.
