Business & Industry - Overview
Coffs Harbour City Council is committed to growing sustainable industries and businesses throughout its local government area.
Council set up an Economic Development Unit in 2002, which liaises with industry, business and all levels of government in its effort to facilitate the establishment and growth of business opportunities in Coffs Harbour.
The Business & Investment section of this website aims to provide an overview of the reasons why you will find Coffs Harbour a smart place to do business - including our strategic location, the benefits of big city infrastructure in a regional setting, the local property market, local business networks to get involved with, the workforce and statistics on the local economy.
The Business Assistance section will put you in contact with a range of organisations who are available to assist the private sector either in establishing or furthering the development of existing businesses, or those seeking professional business advice.
The Economic Development Unit is also responsible for the provision of up-to-date statistics and information. The Statistics & Reports section offers a range of documents pertinent to businesses such as population and economic profiles as well as business newsletters and informative reports.
The Industry Profiles section provides an overview of the wide range of industries that shape the Coffs Harbour economy, such as tourism, retail, manufacturing and agribusiness.
Coffs Harbour is an excellent and growing business tourism destination. In December 2007, Council and its tourism arm, Coffs Coast Marketing, launched a new website (Coffs Coast Conferences) to attract more conferences and other business events to Coffs Harbour. The Coffs Coast Conferences website is a one-stop source of information for conference organisers.
