If you are buying, selling or revamping a property, there are certain pieces of information you might need.

Purchase Certificates

Requests for Certificates Form
A form used to purchase particular certificates when buying or selling a property.

Building Certificate

Building Certificate Application Form
A form used to gain information on whether previous building work was approved.

What Property Information is available via Council’s online Mapping System?

The following property information is available via Council’s online Mapping System:

Whether a property currently has availability to Council’s Sewerage Network
Rate Type (Rating Category)
Zoning
Property Address
Legal Description (Lot, DP, SP etc)
The amount of latest annual Rate Levy
Whether a property currently has Postponed Rates
Property Area (in square metres)

How do I Access this Property Information?

You can access this information by clicking on the online mapping tool and following these 3 simple steps:

STEP 1
Once in the Mapping System, go to the drop down box on the top left hand side of the screen (which displays the word ‘Properties’) and select the option called ‘Property Information Search’ from the displayed list.

STEP 2
Then click on the grey tab immediately under the selection box called ‘Search’. This will activate 3 options (grey boxes) by which you can perform your property information search being:

Search by Property Number – Click in the top grey box and enter Council’s ‘Property Number’ which can be found on rate and water accounts - then press ENTER.

(OR)

Search by Lot and / or DP – Click in the middle grey box and enter all (or part) of the Lot and / or DP of the property – then press ENTER. Hint: If you enter a Deposited Plan (DP) number only - the search will bring back all properties found under this DP.

(OR)

Search by Property Address – Click in the bottom grey box and enter all (or part) of the property address for the property – then press ENTER. Hint: If you enter a street name only - the search will bring back all properties found under this street.

STEP 3
A successful search will bring back a property highlighted in yellow on the mapping screen. To display the associated property information – click on the button found in the panel on the top left hand side of the screen and drag the cursor onto the highlighted property and click with your mouse. This will load and display a screen containing the property information.

To perform another search click on the button to clear the search boxes and enter your new search into one of the 3 grey boxes again.
