National Youth Week 2016

“It Starts With Us”

National Youth Week (NYW) is Australia biggest celebration of young people. Youth Week in NSW is a week-long celebration held in early April each year that is organised by young people for young people in communities across NSW.
If you’re aged between 12- 25, Youth Week is an opportunity to:
·         share ideas
·         attend live events
·         have your voice heard on issues of concern to you
·         showcase your talents
·         celebrate your contribution to the community
·         take part in competitions
·         have fun!
NYW also provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the contributions young people make to our community. The theme for this year’s Youth Week celebrations is “Its Start With Us” and this was chosen by young people giving an open invitation to get involved, participate, celebrate and make the week what you want it to be.
It is also a time for young people to get out in the community and make the most of the celebrations and activities. This year Coffs Harbour City Council and local businesses are supporting a major event “Yellow Door Arts Festival” proudly presented by Headspace Coffs Harbour. YellowDoorArtsFestFlyer_final.jpeg.jpg
