Council calls annually for applications under the Community Arts & Cultural Development Small Grants Program. The program supports local art and cultural initiatives, in particular those activities which show innovation and engage with other community groups.
Applications for the 2012 - 2013 round will open in August/September 2012.
Projects which may be supported include, but are not limited to:
- community seminars, forums and workshops;
- festivals and performances;
- public art and design projects;
- cultural projects, events and showcasing;
- Indigenous cultural events;
- innovative arts and cultural activities;
- art and cultural camps;
- art and cultural exhibitions; and,
- other local cultural initiatives including: youth, multicultural and special needs i.e. people with a disability.
The 2011 - 2012 round closed on Friday 30 September 2011. Council funded 19 projects, totalling $23,000.
