On Ya Bike Coffs Day 2012

Leave the car at home on Wednesday, September 19, get pedalling and be a part of Coffs very own ‘On Ya Bike Day’.

The centrepiece of the morning is – as always – the FREE, healthy breakfast that Council puts on in City Square for anyone who cycles in to enjoy. Again this year we’ll be offering a range of yogurts, home-made muesli and granola, fresh fruit, egg rolls and fruit juice.

But you can also win a brand new bike worth $749 - just by cycling in and completing a short survey to go into a prize draw. Local bike shop Rainbow Cycles has provided a Specialized Globe 2 Daily as the major prize - so come along for a chance to win!

A number of local gyms are also running activities to get people moving:

  • Coffs Coast Health Club’s Spin Class will run from 6.15am till 7.00am
  • Beachbodies CX Worx Demo will run from 7.05am till 7.45am
  • Genesis will run a Zumba class from 7.30am till 8.00am

The expert stylists from Mullet Hair will also be on hand offering their ‘helmet hair’ rescue service, plus we’ll be offering prize draws and a group ride from Centro Toormina for people who want a bit of company on the journey.

The first 100 riders who arrive in City Square, or take part in the group ride, will receive a FREE On Ya Bike Coffs Day t-shirt and the first 100 kids to come along will get a special Kids Pack.

This year's extravaganza will include:

  • Escorted group ride from Toormina Centro to City Square. Leaves Centro at 6.30am. All welcome.
  • FREE spin classes and other activities in City Square from 6.15am.
  • FREE hairstyling by Mullet Hair for those affected by ‘helmet hair’.
  • FREE t-shirts for the first 100 riders to arrive at the breakfast.
  • Prize draw to win a brand new bike.
  • FREE children’s activities for under 5s - the Coffs Coast Toy Library and Go4Fun will be in City Square from 10am-11.30am providing entertainment for the littlies.
  • And, of course, the delicious healthy breakfast from 6am-8am.
