Draft Bike Plan

Spring Sunday Bike Count

Council will conduct its 2nd recreational bike count on December 7th from 7-9am and 10am - 12pm.

The collected data provides a ‘snapshot’ of recreational bike riding numbers and preferred routes across the LGA that can be compared on an annual basis.

Super Tuesday

Super Tuesday is Australia’s largest visual bike count and takes place annually in regional and metropolitan areas across Australia. On Super Tuesday, bike riders were counted on their morning commute in Coffs Harbour, with the data going to help councils identify how and where bike facilities can be improved.

The 2014 count was on Tuesday 2 September from 7 - 9am. This year saw a 15.% annual growth compared to the same locations counted in 2013.
