Planning Proposal PP_2016_COFFS_005_00_
Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting of 8 December 2016 to seek a Gateway Determination from the Minister for Planning for a Planning Proposal (see reference number above) to permit a child care centre on Lot 3, DP 735083, 5 Craft Close Toormina.
The objective of the Planning Proposal is to amend Coffs Harbour Local Environmental Plan 2013 so that an application can be lodged for the use of Lot 3 DP 735083 for a child care centre.
The Minister for Planning subsequently issued a Gateway Determination on 23 December 2016 and an authorisation for Coffs Harbour City Council to exercise delegation to make this Plan.
In accordance with the Minister’s determination and Council’s resolution at its Ordinary Meeting of 8 December 2016, the Planning Proposal is now publicly available for Community Consultation pursuant to Section 57 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
The exhibition period will be from Wednesday 23 August to Friday 22 September 2017. The Planning Proposal and associated documentation may be viewed at Coffs Harbour City Council Administration Building, 2 Castle Street, Coffs Harbour during normal office hours or via the link below.
Submissions to the planning proposal are to be addressed to the General Manager, Locked Bag 155, Coffs Harbour 2450, emailed to, or via the online form below and are to be submitted no later than close of business on Friday, 22 September 2017.

Written submissions must be accompanied, where relevant, by a “Disclosure Statement of Political Donations and Gifts” in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government and Planning Legislation Amendment (Political Donations) Act 2008 No. 44 Disclosure forms are available from Council’s Customer Service Section or on Council’s website

The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 requires Council to provide public access to information held unless there are overriding public interest considerations against disclosure. Any submissions received will be made publicly available unless the writer can demonstrate that the release of part or all of the information would not be in the public interest. However, Council would be obliged to release information as required by court order or other specific law.
