About Picture Coffs Harbour
Picture Coffs Harbour is a joint project of Coffs Harbour City Library and Coffs Harbour Regional Museum, and aims to digitally preserve and improve access to historical pictures significant to the Coffs Harbour region. These pictures are drawn from the Library's and, in particular, the Museum's extensive collections.
Work commenced on the project in January 2008 and over a thousand records have been created to date, with team members still busy scanning and cataloguing the remainder of the photographic collections - totaling approximately 3,800 historical photographs altogether.
The images depict all aspects of life in the Coffs Harbour region from earliest settlement in the 1890s through to more contemporary pictures - displaying the area's growth and development over time. If a picture is worth a thousand words then this project tells an incredible story of Coffs Harbour!

Picture Australia
Picture Coffs Harbour is also accessible via the National Library's Picture Australia service. Membership of Picture Australia increases exposure of Picture Coffs Harbour's resources to a much wider audience and improves the 'discoverability' of the records.
