EXHIBITION OF THE WOOLGOOLGA FLOODPLAIN RISK MANAGEMENT STUDY AND PLAN
 
Notice is hereby given that Council, at its meeting of 13 August 2015 resolved to place the Woolgoolga Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan on public exhibition.
 
The exhibition period will be for 40 days, from 2 September 2015 to 13 October 2015.
 
A community information session will be held on Monday 14 September 2015 from 7pm at the Woolgoolga Village Community Hall in Boundary St, Woolgoolga to present the Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan.
 
The session presentation will include an outline of the mitigation options investigated within the study, and the mix of management measures and strategies proposed for managing future flood risk and damage within Woolgoolga.
 
Copies of the Draft Woolgoolga Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan document can be viewed at Council's Administration Building, the Woolgoolga Library and below.

Submissions to the Woolgoolga Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan (FRMS&P) will be received up until 5pm on Tuesday 13 October 2015.

Council is committed to openness and transparency in its decision making processes.  The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA) requires Council to provide public access to information held unless there are overriding public interest considerations against disclosure.  Any submissions received will be made publicly available unless the writer can demonstrate that the release of part or all of the information would not be in the public interest.   However, Council is obliged to release any document by court order or other specific law.
