Environmental Levy

Council introduced the Environmental Levy as a means of undertaking environmental management works. The levy has been well accepted by the community and currently raises around $1 million per annum for local environmental works at an average cost of $44 per rate payer.

The 2017/18 recommended Environmental Levy Program went to the last council meeting held on 8 June 2017.
At the meeting Council resolved to defer the program pending further information and a briefing for all Councillors.
It is expected the Environmental Program will go back to Council’s first meeting in July to be held on 13 July 2017.
Applicants will be notified of the approved projects as early as possible after the meeting.
If you have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact Katrina O’Connell on 6648 4278.
